Meet Our Vendor: Texture Clothing
We are so honored to have some of our vendors want to go on to become one of our sponsors! Texture Clothing makes lovely comfortable clothing for any occasion.
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Teresa Remple and I have a fixation with textiles. I have been working with textiles since I was in elementary school. From quilting to knitting to experimenting with dying and printing. I also focus on reusing and recycling, so with Texture we work “towards zero waste”. I came up with the Knit Mitts (and other items) years ago to help use up our scrap fabric.
What’s the latest thing you’ve been working on?
I have been working with “allover prints” and am excited to bring a couple of new styles (and some older ones) with these new prints to the UCU!
What was your first memory of making something?
I used to hand sew clothes for my Barbies!
What do you love most about craft show vending?
The thing that I love the most about being a part of the UCU community is the love. I love supporting, and being supported by, fellow vendors and also customers. It is a wonderful thing to be a part of.
What do your customers love most about your product(s)?
My customers give the most feedback about the fit and comfort of the clothing. I draft the patterns for a pear shaped body, so if you have hips, the shirts and dresses don’t ‘ride up’. It’s difficult to find a fit like this.
