Meet Our Vendor: Morph Knitwear
We are in love with the quality and design by Morph Knitwear! We think you will be too.
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Angela, and I’m the owner, designer, and knitter of Morph Knitwear! I work out of my hometown of Portland, Oregon, and am committed to creating handmade clothing & accessories that will last a lifetime.
What’s the latest thing you’ve been working on?
Publishing knitting patterns! I’m really excited to create more accessibility to my work, and it’s been a really fun (and the fulfillment of a longtime goal) to get my knitting patterns out into the world. Right now I’m offering the few I have available as knitting kits, which I’ll be bringing with me to Urban Craft Uprising.
Is this a full-time business for you?
It sure is! I work more than full time, probably. Doing every element of business from emails to knitting sweaters, to packing up and sending orders takes pretty much all of my waking hours! It’s my goal to hire a few more employees (right now I have one tireless and heroic assistant who I love, and who I don’t know how I’d function without) within the next year, so I can take a minute or two to relax, work in my garden and pursue other fun activities.
Who’s your biggest fan?
That’s probably a tie between my partner and my mom – they both provide the most undying support and I love them dearly for having so much faith in me and my work.
What’s your favorite item that you sell?
I go through phases, but right now my favorite pieces are the Merino Wool vest in black and the Wool Crop Sweater in copper. Those two are my fall and winter wardrobe go-to’s and I rarely go a day without wearing one or the other when the temperatures drop.
