Meet Our Vendor: Diamondback Chainstitch
We are really excited to check out the work by this new vendor, Diamondback Chainstitch. I mean HOW COOL? I am excited to hear more about them!
Who are you and what do you do?
We are a husband and wife chainstitch team. We specialize in custom and on the spot embroidery. All of our work is done on a 1933 Singer chainstitch machine. Nothing is computerized and everything is hand done and one of a kind.
What’s the latest thing you’ve been working on?
Just getting ready for the holidays with personalized stockings and name tags for our customers to put on gifts.
Any new exciting news you’d like to share with our readers?
We will be doing an instore event for Filson in Sodo December 8th.
What was your first memory of making something?
I made my Halloween costume when I was probably around 7 years of age.
What is your favorite new product for 2018?
Our favorite new product of 2018 is being able to embroider on the back of baseball hats.
How far will you be traveling to come to UCU?
Maybe 7 miles
What do you love most about craft show vending?
Meeting new people and seeing how excited they are to be at the event.
How did you get started in your business?
I did hand embroidery and decided it took too long, so I looked into getting a vintage chainstitch machine.
Is this a full-time business for you?
Where do you see your business in 3 years?
Improving everyday on my skill, having more knowledge of my machine, and being the one who helps others.
Who’s your biggest fan?
My husband for sure.
What’s something you’ve learned through running your business in the past 12 months?
Business is not always consistent and it’s a lot of emailing.
What’s your favorite item that you sell?
Probably pre made patches with designs we have dreamt up.

You can customize.
What’s the best experience you’ve ever had with one of your customers?
