Meet the Vendor: Koe-Zee
Who are you and what do you do?
We are a creative duo, made up of Olivia Montoya and Kerianne Halpin. We specialize in embroidery, cross stitching, and macrame housewares. Our pieces are inspired by the Pacific Northwest, pop-culture, and plants.
What do you love most about craft show vending?
We love the instant reaction that we can see from customers faces when they see our products. The moment that finally brings together all the work we’ve been putting in at home/in our studio and reconnecting it with our community. So often customers will let out a smile or genuine laugh when they see our pieces and that feeling is amazing.
How did you get started in your business?
The two of us had just graduated from our Bachelors program and were looking for something to challenge us creatively. We had been making things for our shared home for a while and decided to try to sell these things. Koe-Zee has been a constant work in progress and a great challenge along the way.
Who’s your biggest fan?
Our friends and families have been beyond supportive every step of the way for us. So many of the opportunities and success are completely due to their support. We can always count on them to show up to our shows, like our instagram pics, and share our products.
What do your customers love most about your product(s)?
I think people are attracted to the lightheartedness that comes from mixing a traditional form of art with modern day images and ideas.
