What do you love most about craft show vending?
Meeting people, seeing what other makers are doing and getting so much positive feedback. Feels nice!
How did you get started in your business?
I made a rule for myself early on that “I’m not going to take a job unless I’m learning something” Because of that, I worked for a lot of craftspeople and learned metal working, glass casting, sewing and patterning. I made some bags on a whim for a christmas sale in Portland, gave a leftover bag to a friend who lived in Seattle who walked into a store that ended up being my first wholesale account! It all kind of happened as a happy accident and here I am 10 years later!
Is this a full-time business for you?
Where do you see your business in 3 years?
I’d like to do less production and more design
Who’s your biggest fan?
Funny enough, the friend that I gave that first bag to: Anna Jordan Huff aka Anna Oxygen!
What’s something you’ve learned through running your business in the past 12 months?
that opening up a space to the public and making it look the way you want is hella expensive, but worth every penny! haha

Currently, the Minimalist Tote
What do your customers love most about your product(s)?
The classic design and the functionality.
What’s the best experience you’ve ever had with one of your customers?
I recently had a customer special order an Alvar bag. She didn’t tell me she was a shop owner until she picked up the bag then ended up placing a big wholesale order with us. She’s been a great support!
