Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Rhiannon (Rhi for short) and I’m the food obsessed baker who owns Lilli-Pilli Patisserie.
What’s the latest thing you’ve been working on?
Chocolates. I made chocolates in pastry school and in my first job in the industry but it’s been a while. Earlier this year I completed a chocolate class with my celebrity crush; Jean-Pierre Wybauw. It was incredibly inspiring and made me remember why I loved to make chocolates. I’m excited to share my chocolates with people!
Are you debuting anything new at the winter show?
Yes! This year I will have seasonal French macarons (as in previous years) but also tasty chocolates and delicious jams with flavors such as: Wild Blueberry Pinot Noir, Apricot Vanilla, Honey Roasted Strawberry and Trio of Berries.
What do your customers love most about your products?
I think what I love most may be what my customers also love most – variability. I do Farmers Markets during the year and each week I have different flavored macarons and sometimes different jams (depending on what fruit is in season). I adore making seasonal food and I think my customers really understand and appreciate that.
What’s the best experience you’ve ever had with one of your customers?
Honestly, I have a group of amazing regulars. Just having people come by every week and buy my product shows me that I must be doing something right.
